The holidays are about spending time in the warm company of friends and family. But they’re also about something else: goodies! From decorating to dining to gift giving of every kind, the holidays offer an opportunity to revel in, for lack of a better word, stuff. At the 17th annual Canmore Christmas Artisans Market, you’ll find some of the best stuff that the holiday season has to offer. Peruse the handcrafted wares of over 85 talented local artisans to seek out the perfect gift, the tastiest stocking stuffer, or the coziest clothes. The market gives you a chance to find unique items that you just won’t get from a department store (with handmade quality that’s hard to come by in this era of mass production).
The offerings include art, crafts, glassware, pottery, fine woodwork, jewelry, silks, chocolates, lotions, furniture, photography, paintings, and so much more. It takes place from 10am - 4pm on November 24 and 25, 2012 at the Canmore Collegiate High School (1800 8th Ave). Admission is $2 in support of the Canmore Preschool and kids get in free.
