Canmore Food Festivals, Music and Bears, Oh My!

posted by: Canmore Mountain Lodge on: March 14, 2014 01:29:10 PM
While winter might be lingering for a little longer, the fun is certainly heating up over the next few weeks in Canmore! A first-annual food festival, Spanish fusion in the form of tapas and latin music, and a very special day celebrating bears highlight the upcoming events calendar. Come on down (or should we say up) to the Canadian Rockies and check it all out!

Tapas: Spanish Music and Food @ Tapas
March 21- May 30
Join Tapas, voted “Most Romantic Restaurant in the Rockies” for a fusion of Spanish and Old world cuisine in an idyllic heritage building. On Fridays, resident guitar expert Andrew Ibanez will join you as he creates his own fusion of Latin guitar music with blues, jazz, classical and contemporary stylings.

Canmore Uncorked! Food & Drink Festival @ all over town
April 3 – April 12
A first annual event, Canmore Uncorked!: Food and Drink Festival promises to not disappoint. With 26 restaurants offering special fixed-price menus and crosstown food crawls, cooking classes, long table feasts, craft beer & wine festivals and more, it certainly looks like a good time will be had by all.

Bear Day @ Canmore Seniors Centre
April 13, 2014

When spring has finally sprung, bears will begin waking from their winter slumbers. This day serves to celebrate the magnificence of these incredible creatures but also reminds the public that it is again time to Be Bear Aware! Tips for how to camp around bears and use bear spray, informational bear talks, and family programs (including scavenger hunts for kids!) will all be on the agenda.

Check out some of these events the next time you’re visiting beautiful Canmore. Need a place to stay? The Canmore Mountain Lodge would be happy to host you. Our rooms our beautiful, our on-site restaurant is delicious and our views are breathtaking.
